At Pure Fiji we firmly believe that enjoying and promoting all aspects of the culture and environment of the pacific in a conscious and responsible manner ensures the successful preservation of not only the environment, but also the way of life. To this effect, Pure Fiji has set up a variety of community projects that encompass promoting rural community development and sustainable industries and business practices. Pure Fiji has funded student scholarships to aid children in these communities, and assists local craftsmen and women with business development and small business mentoring. We foster these environmentally stable business models through our village based projects such as the production of botanical extracts, paper-making and basket weaving.

Pure Fiji is passionate about maintaining extensive measures to ensure that its products are ecologically friendly and support the environment that sustains the business. We make every effort to minimize our carbon footprint, and where appropriate, enhance Fiji’s unique ecosystem. Botanical ingredients such as the blend of nut oils are wild-harvested, which means we select the nuts from trees that grow in their natural habitat. This reduces our requirement for energy dependent irrigation and fertilization methods thus limiting our carbon impact. Bottles used in packaging are PET which are an environmentally responsible choice as they require 24% less energy to produce and generate 40% less solid waste than glass bottles. Gift packaging is made by hand using natural fibers such as handmade paper or delightful woven baskets.

These enlightened philosophies also played a big part in the design and construction of Pure Fiji’s new, state-of-the-art factory and its daily production processes. Passive solar dryers are employed and oils are cold pressed in the villages that supply them. Spa linens and staff uniforms are sun dried, eliminating the need for electricity. Pure Fiji even recycles the chaff and seed casings from the nuts into the factory gardens – which acts as a nursery for Pure Fiji’s tree planting programs along the coastline, a source of a variety of flowers and herbs for use in their spa and even supplies fresh vegetables for the factory staff to use in their meals.

Pure Fiji endeavors to ensure our products will not only benefit our customers through exceptional performance and value, but will also positively impact the people and economies of the local communities from which the raw materials are sourced. Pure Fiji believes this is achievable through the utilization of sustainable ingredients from renewable resources, and eco-friendly packaging.

Strong
Grounded
Energized
And where is this unknown place;
In my mind?
Or is it a physical place?
No clear path –
move step by step.
Time for worship
Time for myself
Time to search.
Balance.

 Hello Everyone,   I was excited to see that they had a yoga swing on Renegade Health Show !!     Back Pain and Tightness Relief with the Yoga Swing (Plus Thoughts on Smart Choices) – The Renegade Health Show Episode #401   http://renegadehealth.com/blog/2009/09/22/back-pain-and-tightness-relief-with-the-yoga-swing/   If you wish to take a look at the swings I have available which are a more comfortable version, go to www.gravotonics.com.   If you wish to order a yoga swing, call me at 970-576-8022.   I love my yoga swing and use it every day.  The gravotonics yoga swing does not come with a stand but is easy to install either with eye hooks in a door jam or a supporting ceiling beam.   You can take it to the park and hang it on a swing set.  It has brought so much fun into my practice and the support it gives me in poses is relaxing beyond what I have ever experienced in my practice.   Enjoy the show!   Shanti,
Jen
